Phil Hester has been writing and drawing comics since the dawn of time. He has drawn Kevin Smith’s Green Arrow, Mark Millar’s Swamp Thing, Robert Kirkman’s Ant-Man, Jeff Lemire’s Family Tree, and Tom KIng’s Gotham City Year One, as well as notable runs on Nightwing, The Flash, Batman Beyond, and Justice League. His recent assignments include James Robinson’s The Adventures of Lumen N., The Institute for Jonathan Hickman’s 3W/3M, and a return to Green Arrow.

Phil has written Wonder Woman, The Darkness, Deathstroke, Mythic, Green Hornet, The Bionic Man, Titans Giant, Swamp Thing Giant, Stronghold, A Quiet Place, and Invincible Universe. He co-created and wrote both The Coffin and Deep Sleeper with artist Mike Huddleston, as well as Firebreather with artist Andy Kuhn, which became an Emmy-winning feature on Cartoon Network.

He wrote and drew G.I. Joe Silent Missions: Beach Head, Creepshow, and The Wretch, which was nominated for an Eisner Award. He currently writes and draws his creation Gutchurner for Ignition Press. He lives in the sticks.
