Mark Bagley, raised in a military family and one of seven siblings, loved comics growing up and always dreamed of becoming a professional comic penciler. In 1983 Marvel comics published The Marvel Try-Out Contest. Mark entered and won first place. Mark’s first published work was for Marvel’s New Universe’s Nightmask.

During his long career Mark has worked on virtually every Marvel title. He is known for long, successful runs on titles such as The New Warriors and The Thunderbolts. He is best known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man, including the creation of the villain Carnage and then there was his his and Brian Bendis’ incredible record setting run on Ultimate Spider-Man.

Mark left Marvel to work for DC, and for 3 years worked on such titles as Batman, Trinity, and Justice League. He returned to Marvel to work on The Death Of Ultimate Spider-man. The Fantastic Four, The Hulk, The X-men, and a recent run on a number of Spiderman titles. Having recently semi-retired from monthly interior work, Mark is focusing on penciling and inking covers and commissions.

Mark lives in Georgia with his wonderful wife Pattie, and near his daughter and three awesome grandkids, and is still thrilled to be a part of the comic book creating profession
