Leeanne M. Krecic, known as “Mongie” to her fans, is the Eisner-nominated creator of the Amazon bestselling webcomic Let’s Play, which has captivated over 5 million global subscribers in multiple languages on WEBTOON. Her work has earned critical acclaim, including a 2023 Ringo Award for Fan Favorite Hero, Ringo Award nominations for Best Cartoonist and Best Webcomic, and an Eisner Award nomination for Best Webcomic. Published by Rocketship Entertainment, Let’s Play’s graphic novel collections rank among the top 30 all-time Kickstarters in the Comics category. Recently, OLM, the studio behind Pokémon and Komi Can’t Communicate, optioned Let’s Play for an anime adaptation, further expanding its reach. Leeanne is also developing EVERDATE, a dating simulator based on Let’s Play, successfully crowdfunded through Kickstarter. A self-taught artist with a background in computer science, she spent over a decade in IT, helping transform a company into a multi-million-dollar enterprise before pursuing her passion for comics full-time. Leeanne lives in Kansas City with her husband, their pets, over 100 fish, and a thriving collection of houseplants.
