If you would like to present at Planet Comicon Kansas City 2017, submit this form. Applications must be received no later than February 10, 2017. You will be notified if you are accepted no later than February 24, 2017.

Completion of the application does not guarantee that you will be accepted for event programming.

DO NOT attempt to contact Planet Comicon media guests or creator guests to add them to your proposed panels. Panels with these guests are arranged directly by Planet Comicon staff members. If you would like to coordinate with our staff to invite one or more of these guests to participate in your proposed panel, contact us ( before submitting your application. Requests to include guests in your panel will only be considered if you have previous experience running panels at Planet Comicon or can provide qualified references from other conventions where you have conducted panels.

Panelists in approved events will receive complimentary admission for the day that their event is scheduled. This admission can be upgraded to a multi-day admission at an additional cost. Complimentary admission is limited to the panelist or performer only.

Important Considerations

The following items are standard panel specifications. If your panel or panelists require different running time, technology, accessibility, etc. be sure to explain those needs in the "Special Instructions" section below.

  • Each panel room includes a stage (accessed by stairs), skirted table with chairs, microphones, projector/computer, audience microphone, and house sound system.
  • The audience is seated in chairs arranged in theater-style rows.
  • All panels are scheduled to run 50 minutes with a 10-minute break between sessions unless specifically requested otherwise.

Indicate the days that you are available to present your panel. Use the "Special Hours" section to indicate if you are only available during certain hours of the day.

Be sure to include yourself. Only the applicant will be contacted by email about the panel status. Additional email addresses are for our speaker list.

Include social media links we can use to cross promote your panel. Examples include  Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or other channels we can interact with for promotions. Include appropriate links for yourself, your panelists, and your organization.
