Greg Land has been a professional illustrator for 32 years – the past 20 of them as a comic book artist.
He is a native of Terre Haute, and before graduating from Indiana State University with a bachelor of fine arts degree, he started his professional career in the screen print industry.
After 10 years working in garment print designs, Land’s lifelong dream to draw comics became a reality with a project called Storm Quest from Sky Comics. This led to work for DC Comics that included titles such as Night Wing and Birds of Prey.
Shortly after moving to Florida, Land began work with a new comic company called CrossGen Comics where he co-created their top-selling book, Sojourn, with writer Ron Marz.
Currently, Land is under contract with Marvel Comics. Some past projects include The Uncanny X-Men, Iron Man, Mighty Avengers and The Ultimate Fantastic Four, along with many exclusive covers for several other titles. Land’s latest projects include illustrating the all-new edition of The Uncanny X-Men, Monsters Unleashed and Weapon X.
Over the years, Land has drawn several projects for other media as well, like ESPN, ESPN the Magazine, the U.S. Postal Service for a Marvel characters stamp project, and Wizard Magazine.
